Quick Look at Daily Life in Carini Italy

Join us on a quiet stroll through Carini, a charming Sicilian town with a deep sense of history and everyday beauty. This video shares just a few casual moments. No tour, no guide. Just scenes from a day in our lives here.

Carini, located near the Tyrrhenian Sea, blends old-world character with the rhythm of daily Sicilian life. One of the highlights is Corso Umberto, a pedestrian-friendly main street lined with bakeries, small shops, and historic buildings.

We stopped in at a local bakery, a favorite spot for fresh bread and pastries, and caught a glimpse of local workers renovating one of the older buildings. Even simple construction here feels rooted in history.

Driving into Bivio di Foresta is always a treat. We picked up some fresh swordfish from the open-air fish market, a staple in this part of Sicily. On the way to Torretta, we pulled over to take in the coastal view. Even on cloudy days, it is peaceful and beautiful.

This post is not meant to be a full guide. It is just a snapshot of life here, one of the many ordinary and beautiful days we have had in Carini.

Exploring Carini Italy: A Timeless Sicilian Town

Corso Umberto is one of the main streets in Carini, Sicily, and it’s like we’ve stepped back in time.

This bakery is a local favorite.

I stopped to watch the workers for a few minutes because I found it really interesting that on such a narrow street they found a way to haul the supplies up to the very top floor to renovate this old building.

Later in the day, Croce and I are driving into Bivio di Foresta. We often stop at the fish market on the left-hand side of the road there to get fresh swordfish, and boy, is it good.

We were on our way to see Croce’s brother in Torretta, and I had him pull over because I just wanted to enjoy the view.

Even though it was cloudy, you could see the sea in the background and the Sicilian countryside, just so very peaceful and beautiful.

If you’re curious about what life in Carini SicilyΒ is like for us long term, we shared more details in that post.
